In their last game against the Houston Rockets, despite a narrow loss with a final score of 104-106, the Pelicans demonstrated strong defensive prowess with 7 blocks and matched their opponents in steals and assists. However, turnovers were a concern as they gave up possession 16 times. Their two-point shooting was impressive at 59 percent but was overshadowed by struggles from beyond the arc where they only converted 26 percent of their attempts.

The previous game saw an outstanding performance from the Pelicans as they dominated on both ends of the court against Cleveland Cavaliers with a convincing victory scoring 123 points while allowing only 104. Their offensive efficiency was reflected in high shooting percentages across all categories: field goals (55 percent), three-pointers (43 percent), and free throws (88 percent). They also showcased excellent ball movement tallying up to 32 assists.

However, consistency remains an issue for New Orleans; this is evident from their encounter with Memphis Grizzlies where despite leading for most of the game and having a significant lead at one point, they ended up losing narrowly by two points (113-115). Turnovers again played a role in this defeat as well as allowing too many points off those turnovers.

The upcoming contest will test whether New Orleans can capitalize on its home-court advantage to maintain offensive rhythm while tightening up defensively to reduce turnovers and control opponent scoring runs.
