Last season's analytics reveal that the Pelicans had a solid performance with an average of 114 points per game and significant contributions across various aspects of play. Their ability to convert opportunities was evident with a perfect free throw and two-point percentage, as well as dominating fast breaks. This indicates that they have been efficient in scoring when it matters most and can capitalize on quick transitions.

Defensively, the team averaged over eight steals and four blocks per game, showcasing their ability to disrupt opponents' plays effectively. However, maintaining discipline will be crucial since they also averaged around 20 personal fouls per game last season.

The team's ball movement has been commendable with nearly 26 assists per game suggesting strong teamwork and offensive cohesion. Rebounding has also been a strong suit for the Pelicans with an average of almost 44 rebounds per game which could be pivotal in controlling possession against the Thunder.

While turnovers were kept relatively low at just over 14 per game last season, minimizing them further could be key in maintaining offensive momentum and reducing scoring opportunities for Oklahoma City.
