Can the Knicks Maintain Momentum After Dominating the 76ers at Wells Fargo Center?

In a display of offensive efficiency, the New York Knicks outplayed the Philadelphia 76ers with a final score of 110-96. The victory at Wells Fargo Center improved the Knicks' record to 34-22, while the 76ers fell to a close 32-23.

The game began with an assertive first quarter by the Knicks, who set an early tone by outscoring their opponents 32-21. This momentum continued into the second quarter with an even more impressive performance, adding another 37 points to their tally. The third quarter saw a slight dip in scoring for New York but they still managed to maintain their lead by putting up another 22 points against Philadelphia's surge of 35 points. In what was a lower-scoring final period for both teams, it was defense that shone through for New York as they held Philadelphia to just 15 points while scoring only slightly higher themselves.


The statistics reflect a well-rounded team effort from New York; six blocks and eleven steals contributed significantly to their defensive solidity. Offensively, they were led by contributions across the board with twenty-four assists facilitating scoring opportunities and ensuring ball movement remained fluid throughout.

A standout statistic for New York was their bench contribution which accounted for thirty-seven of their total points; this depth proved crucial in maintaining intensity throughout all four quarters. Additionally, fast break opportunities were capitalized on efficiently – converting fifty percent of such attempts into nineteen fast break points.


Rebounding also played a key role in securing this win for New York as they grabbed fifty-three rebounds over Philadelphia's forty-five – twelve of those being offensive boards which led directly to nineteen second-chance points due to an impressive seventy-eight percent conversion rate on second-chance attempts.

From beyond the arc, three-point shooting was effective for New York as well; fifteen made shots from thirty-four attempts translated into forty-four percent accuracy from deep range contributing significantly towards their overall field goal percentage of forty-eight.
