Knicks' Efforts Overshadowed by Celtics' Sharp Shooting at TD Garden

The New York Knicks faced a challenging night at TD Garden, falling to the Boston Celtics with a final score of 109-132. This game marked the Knicks' second loss of the season, moving their record to 0-2, while the Celtics improved to a 1-0 start. Despite a spirited effort and moments of brilliance from the Knicks, it was Boston's night as they capitalized on their home advantage and sharp shooting.

Knicks' Standout Performances

Among the New York Knicks, Miles McBride and Jalen Brunson led the scoring charge with 22 points each. McBride was particularly efficient from beyond the arc, hitting 80 percent of his three-point attempts. Brunson also showcased his accuracy by making all of his free throw attempts and half of his shots from deep. Karl-Anthony Towns contributed with a solid performance in both scoring and rebounding, adding 12 points and grabbing seven rebounds.

Jericho Sims stood out defensively for the Knicks with two blocks while also contributing nine rebounds. However, despite these individual efforts, it wasn't enough to counteract Boston's offensive onslaught.

Celtics Dominate With Three-Point Barrage

The Boston Celtics demonstrated why they are considered one of the most formidable teams in the league with an impressive display from behind the three-point line. They made 29 three-pointers at a staggering rate of 48 percent efficiency. Their ability to spread out New York's defense opened up lanes for easy baskets inside as well, allowing them to score 30 points in paint.

Boston's balanced attack was evident as they racked up assists on many of their made shots; this teamwork led them not only to maintain but extend their lead throughout most parts of the game.
