Knicks' Rally Falls Short Against Celtics in High-Scoring Affair

The New York Knicks faced a challenging game against the Boston Celtics, concluding with a score of 105-118. This result moves the Knicks to a 37-20 record for the season, while the Celtics improve to 41-16. Despite a spirited comeback attempt in the third quarter where they scored 39 points, it wasn't enough to overcome Boston's consistent performance throughout the game.

Key Performances and Highlights


The Knicks showed resilience, particularly in the second half. Karl-Anthony Towns led with an impressive double-double, scoring 24 points and grabbing 18 rebounds. Josh Hart also stood out with a triple-double consisting of 20 points, nine assists, and eleven rebounds. Jalen Brunson contributed significantly as well with 22 points and four assists.


Despite these efforts, New York struggled defensively against a potent Celtics offense that saw them trailing by as much as twenty-seven points during the game. The team managed only one block compared to Boston's five and was outrebounded fifty-two to forty-six.

Boston capitalized on their opportunities from beyond the arc and inside the paint, making seventeen three-pointers at thirty-nine percent accuracy and dominating inside with fifty points in paint compared to New York's forty-eight.
