Knicks' Key Performances

Jalen Brunson was instrumental for the Knicks, contributing significantly with 29 points and demonstrating his prowess beyond the arc with a three-point shooting percentage of 56 percent. OG Anunoby matched Brunson's scoring output, also adding 29 points to the team's tally while maintaining an impressive field goal percentage of 50 percent. Josh Hart played a crucial role on both ends of the court, securing a double-double with 14 points and grabbing an impressive total of 11 rebounds.

The Knicks' defense was formidable throughout the game, recording a total of ten steals which disrupted several offensive plays by the Celtics. Their ability to capitalize on turnovers was evident as they scored seventeen points off these opportunities.

Celtics' Efforts and Challenges

The Boston Celtics put up a strong fight led by their dynamic offense but fell short during critical moments in overtime. Despite having held onto leads for significant portions of regulation time—boasting their biggest lead at twenty points—their shooting efficiency waned as they converted only thirty-five percent from field goals overall.

Their bench provided substantial support by contributing twenty-four bench points; however, it wasn't enough to counteract New York's relentless pursuit. The C's managed fifteen three-pointers but struggled inside where they were outscored slightly in paint battles against New York’s defensive setup.
