New York Knicks Overcome Indiana Pacers with Fourth Quarter Surge

First Quarter


The New York Knicks faced off against the Indiana Pacers in a playoff game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The game started with the Pacers taking an early lead, scoring 30 points in the first quarter compared to the Knicks' 26. The Pacers' strong start was highlighted by their effective shooting from midrange, where they made 13 out of 20 attempts.

Second Quarter


In the second quarter, the Pacers continued to build on their lead, adding another 28 points while holding the Knicks to just 19. The Knicks struggled offensively during this period, with their field goal percentage dropping to below average levels. Despite this setback, Josh Hart contributed significantly on defense with his rebounding efforts and steals.


Third Quarter


The third quarter saw a shift in momentum as Jalen Brunson began to find his rhythm for the Knicks. He scored crucial points that helped narrow down the deficit. The team improved its shooting accuracy and managed to score 25 points against Indiana's 22 during this period. Karl-Anthony Towns also played a pivotal role by dominating under the basket and securing rebounds.

Fourth Quarter


The final quarter was where things turned around dramatically for New York. They outscored Indiana by a significant margin of 36-20, showcasing resilience and determination on both ends of the court. Mikal Bridges stepped up defensively while OG Anunoby's efficient shooting added pressure on Indiana's defense.


Overall, New York displayed commendable teamwork and strategic adjustments that allowed them to overcome an initial disadvantage and secure victory over Indiana with a final score of 106-100.
