Second Quarter

As the second quarter unfolded, it became evident that scoring was becoming a challenge for the home team. The Knicks only managed to add 17 points to their tally during this period, while Atlanta extended their lead by scoring an additional 27 points. Mikal Bridges tried to keep his team in contention with his defensive plays but struggled offensively.

Third Quarter

Entering into the third quarter, New York attempted to regain momentum but found themselves outscored once again as they posted just 23 points compared to Atlanta's impressive 34-point performance. OG Anunoby made notable contributions on defense and rebounding but couldn't turn it into enough offensive output for his side.

Fourth Quarter

In a final push during the fourth quarter, New York rallied back with some spirited play and added another 29 points; however, it wasn't enough as they fell short against Atlanta's solid defense which allowed only 17 more from them in this period. Despite Jordan Clarkson’s attempts from beyond-the-arc and Ariel Hukporti’s presence inside paint areas contributing defensively throughout game time - ultimately these efforts weren't sufficient against Dirty Birds’ cohesive gameplay strategy leading them towards victory.

The matchup concluded with an overall scoreline of 111-99 favoring visitors leaving fans pondering over what could have been done differently for better outcomes through this intense clash between two formidable sides within league standings today!
