First Quarter

The Knicks set the tone early with a strong first quarter performance, outscoring Rip City 37-22. Jalen Brunson led the charge for New York with his dynamic playmaking and scoring ability. The team's defense was equally impressive, limiting Portland's offensive opportunities and forcing turnovers.

Second Quarter

In the second quarter, both teams tightened their defenses. The Blazers managed to close the gap slightly by scoring 27 points compared to New York's 22. However, Karl-Anthony Towns continued to be a force on both ends of the court for the Knicks, contributing significantly in rebounds and defensive plays.

Third Quarter

As play resumed after halftime, Mikal Bridges showcased his versatility by adding crucial points and assists that helped maintain New York's lead. Despite Portland's efforts led by Jerami Grant and Anfernee Simons trying to rally back into contention with their shooting prowess, they were unable to overcome New York’s defensive strategies.

Fourth Quarter

The final period was where New York truly shined; they exploded for an impressive 40 points while holding Rip City to just 28. Jordan Clarkson emerged as a key player during this stretch with his sharp shooting from beyond the arc and timely steals that disrupted Portland’s rhythm completely.
