Thunder and Mavericks Set to Clash at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City

As the Oklahoma City Thunder prepare to host the Dallas Mavericks at the Paycom Center, fans are eager to see if their team can continue its recent high-scoring trend. The Thunder have been on a rollercoaster ride this season, but they've shown flashes of brilliance, especially in their offensive game.

In their last outing against the Wizards at home, the Thunder put up an impressive 127 points. Their offense was firing on all cylinders with a true shooting percentage of 61 percent and an effective field goal percentage of nearly 60 percent. They dominated points in the paint with 66 and capitalized on turnovers by scoring 32 points off them.

The team's assist-to-turnover ratio stood out as well, boasting a value of over three – indicating smart ball movement and careful possession play. Defensively, they held their ground too, allowing just over one point per possession to their opponents.

However, it wasn't just a one-off performance; against the Celtics earlier in January at Paycom Center, OKC scored an even more staggering 150 points. They were relentless in transition with fast break points totaling 21 and maintained an efficient shooting night from beyond the arc with a three-point percentage of 50.

While these victories highlight Oklahoma City's potential when things click together perfectly, there was also a less favorable outcome against Orlando Magic where they lost despite scoring 115 points. The defense allowed too many easy baskets resulting in conceding 126 points which overshadowed their own offensive efforts.

The upcoming game promises to be exciting as both teams have demonstrated strong offensive capabilities this season. Fans should look forward to another high-scoring affair where OKC will aim to exploit its home-court advantage at Paycom Center once again.

Mark your calendars for January 9th; tip-off is scheduled for local time (GMT-6). Fans can catch all the action live on BSOK network channel number 675 or follow along through various live updates available online.
