In their last meeting on April 25th, OKC displayed a level of play that was nothing short of spectacular. They decimated NOP with a commanding 124-92 victory. The home team's offense was firing on all cylinders, boasting an impressive 59 percent field goal percentage and an even more remarkable 48 percent from beyond the arc. Their defense wasn't far behind either, holding the Pelicans to just 45 percent shooting from the field.

The Thunder's efficiency game score of 108.4 from that night is a testament to their well-rounded performance. With such high efficiency and a staggering points difference in their favor, it’s clear that OKC has found a winning formula against NOP.

OKC also demonstrated superior ball movement and decision-making in Game 2 of their series against NOP. Their assist-to-turnover ratio stood at an impressive 3.13 compared to NOP’s less efficient ratio of just under one (0.94). This ability to create scoring opportunities while minimizing mistakes could be pivotal in determining the outcome of the upcoming matchup.

Moreover, OKC showed they could dominate both ends of the court by outscoring NOP by a significant margin off turnovers (22-6) and showcasing formidable paint presence with more points scored inside (48-46). These factors contributed heavily to OKC leading for over three-quarters of Game 2 – something they'll aim to replicate come game day.

The Pelicans will undoubtedly come into this game looking for redemption after being outplayed last time around; however, overcoming OKC's home-court advantage will be no easy feat. In Game 1 on April 22nd, despite being closer in score (94-92), it was still OKC who emerged victorious thanks largely due to clutch plays down the stretch – indicating mental toughness as well as skill superiority.

Fans should expect another intense battle where fast breaks might again prove crucial; both teams have shown propensity for quick transitions but it was OKC who capitalized more effectively during previous encounters.

With all eyes set on May 1st at Paycom Center where tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM local time (Central Time), fans can catch all action live NBA TV – ensuring not miss any moment what promises be yet another chapter thrilling rivalry between these two Western Conference contenders.
