First quarter

The Oklahoma City Thunder set the early pace by taking the opening quarter 31-20 while building a biggest lead of 13.

OKC opened with 48 percent shooting overall and hit 11-for-11 at the rim for the game, turning early pressure into 20 points off turnovers.

Second quarter

The Celtics answered in the second quarter with a 29-22 edge as Boston leaned on 25 assists to steady its half-court offense.

The Thunder kept contact with 21 made free throws on 81 percent at the line, and the bench added 39 points to hold the gap at halftime.

Third quarter

Boston swung the game in the third quarter by outscoring OKC 39-30, using 18 made three-pointers on 44 percent shooting from deep to seize control.

The Thunder generated just 7 turnovers all game and finished with a 2.43 assist-to-turnover ratio, but Boston’s 19 second-chance points and 56 total rebounds tilted the extra-possession math.

Fourth quarter

The Celtics closed with a 31-26 fourth quarter while defending the lead through a 115.42 defensive rating and forcing OKC into 32 percent three-point shooting on 37 attempts.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s previous-game line of 33 points and 8 assists set the scoring bar in the backcourt, while the Thunder’s latest Oklahoma City Thunder post-match stats showed 17 assists, 7 steals, and 3 blocks in the loss.

Luguentz Dort’s previous-game 14 points and 67 percent shooting from three, plus Isaiah Hartenstein’s previous-game 3 steals, reflected the supporting pieces that helped OKC stay attached during the push-and-pull, as the post-game report Oklahoma City Thunder and the Oklahoma City Thunder vs Boston Celtics review both pointed to Boston’s rebounding edge and third-quarter burst.

The Oklahoma City Thunder coach post-game reaction came after a night when Boston finished with 25 made free throws on 86 percent and limited OKC to 2 second-chance points on 3 attempts.

The Thunder will be back at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City on 3/27/2026 at 8:00 PM EDT against the Chicago Bulls, with the broadcast on CHSN+ and FDSOK.
