In a closely contested battle at the Footprint Center, the Orlando Magic's record now stands at 19-13 after being narrowly defeated by the Phoenix Suns with a final score of 107-112. The Suns improved their season to 17-15, showcasing resilience on their home court.

The game was marked by several lead changes and both teams displayed moments of dominance. The Magic started strong, posting 24 points in the first quarter and ramping up to an impressive 34 points in the second. However, despite outscoring the Suns in fast break points with a solid performance of 15 and dominating second-chance points with a total of 22, they couldn't maintain their momentum throughout.

The Orlando team showed remarkable accuracy from the free-throw line, sinking shots at an impressive rate of ninety-two percent. They also excelled inside the paint, scoring fifty-eight points against their opponents' fifty-six. Their two-point field goal percentage stood at fifty-seven percent thanks to thirty successful attempts out of fifty-three.

A significant contribution came from Orlando's bench players who added forty points to the scoreboard. However, it wasn't enough to secure victory as they trailed behind for most of the game duration – leading for just over one minute compared to Phoenix's dominant forty-four minutes.

Defensively, both teams were evenly matched with four blocks each; however, steals told another story as Orlando managed only two compared to Phoenix’s eleven. This discrepancy played into turnovers where Orlando gave up fifteen possessions while Phoenix kept theirs down to six.

The Magic fought hard but ultimately fell short against a determined Suns team that led by as much as sixteen points during playtime and capitalized on turnovers scoring sixteen off them against Magic’s eight.

Looking ahead for fans of The Orlando Magic: your team will be visiting San Francisco to face off against Golden State Warriors at Chase Center on January 2nd at 10:00 PM Eastern Time. This upcoming match can be watched nationally on NBA TV channel two hundred sixteen or locally via NBCS-BA channel six hundred ninety-six and BSFL channel six hundred fifty-four for those following away from home.
