The Orlando Magic started strong, outscoring the Knicks by four points in the first quarter. The home team's offense was firing on all cylinders as they racked up 48 points in paint compared to their opponents' 36. The Magic's two-point shooting was particularly effective; they made 31 out of their 54 attempts from inside the arc for a solid shooting percentage of around 57 percent.

Despite leading for nearly 42 minutes and boasting a largest lead of twelve points during the game, Orlando couldn't maintain their advantage. They matched New York's eleven turnovers but fell short on three-pointers, making only six out of twenty-five attempts which translated to an unimpressive shooting percentage from beyond the arc.

Orlando's bench contributed significantly with twenty-seven bench points but it wasn't enough to secure victory. On defense, they managed four blocks and drew nineteen personal fouls from New York players while committing nineteen themselves. The home team also edged out on rebounds with forty-seven total rebounds including nine offensive boards that led to nine second-chance points.

On the other side of court, New York Knicks showed resilience by overcoming their deficit and taking control late in the game. Their three-point shooting proved crucial as they sank fifteen out of forty-three attempts for around thirty-five percent success rate from downtown which contributed significantly to their overall field goal percentage of approximately forty-six percent.

The Knicks were also more efficient at fast-break opportunities despite fewer attempts; they scored five fast-break points off two successful shots from five attempts while Orlando managed just four fast-break points off one made shot from four tries.

As both teams fought hard throughout all quarters with ten lead changes and times tied at four each during playtime, it was ultimately New York who emerged victorious thanks largely due to their fourth-quarter performance where they scored thirty-six points – ten more than what Orlando could muster in that period.
