Orlando Magic Overcome Charlotte Hornets at Spectrum Center in Close Encounter

In a closely contested game at the Spectrum Center, the Orlando Magic edged out the Charlotte Hornets with a final score of 119-113. The Magic's season record improved to 22-33, while the Hornets' record fell to 15-40.

The Orlando Magic showcased a strong offensive performance against the Charlotte Hornets. The team's field goal percentage was recorded at 46 percent, with an impressive free throw percentage of 90 percent. The Magic dominated points in the paint, scoring 62 compared to the Hornets' 56. Additionally, Orlando capitalized on turnovers by scoring 21 points off their opponent's mistakes.


Orlando's bench contributed significantly with 39 points and maintained a lead for nearly twenty-four minutes during gameplay. Their largest lead was twelve points over their opponents. In terms of rebounds, Orlando secured a total of fifty-six rebounds; eighteen were offensive and thirty-four defensive.

The three-point attempts for Orlando resulted in an accuracy rate of about thirty-five percent as they made eight out of twenty-three attempts. Their two-point shots were also effective with a fifty percent success rate from sixty-eight attempts.


Defensively, Orlando managed six steals and two blocks throughout the game while drawing eighteen fouls from their opponents which led to thirty free throw attempts; twenty-seven were successfully converted into points.

On the other side, despite being on home turf, Charlotte struggled with their free throws managing only forty-eight percent accuracy but excelled in two-point field goals making sixty-six percent from fifty attempts. They also had more steals than Orlando with eight but turned over possession fifteen times leading to thirteen points for Orlando.


Charlotte’s bench scored twenty-eight points and they led for almost twenty-three minutes during playtime but couldn't maintain this advantage until the end of regulation time.
