The Orlando Magic faced a challenging opponent in the Minnesota Timberwolves at Kia Center, with an attendance of 19,223 fans witnessing the game. Despite playing on their home court, the Magic were unable to take control at any point during the match, as indicated by their time leading being non-existent. The Timberwolves showcased a strong offensive performance with an effective field goal percentage of 61 and a true shooting percentage of 64. They capitalized on their scoring opportunities inside the paint with an impressive points-in-paint percentage of 70.

The Magic struggled to find their rhythm offensively throughout the game. Their field goal percentage was just 36 percent compared to Minnesota's more efficient rate of 54 percent. From beyond the arc, Orlando managed to convert only 31 percent of their three-point attempts into points. On a positive note for Orlando fans, bench players contributed significantly with a total of 41 bench points.

Defensively, both teams were active around the rim; however, it was Minnesota that edged out with one additional block than Orlando's five blocks for this matchup. Steals were another area where Orlando showed tenacity by accumulating thirteen steals over Minnesota's eight.
