The Orlando Magic started strong in the first quarter by scoring 21 points but were slightly edged out by the Thunder's 23. The second quarter saw the Magic add another 19 points to their tally; however, they trailed as halftime approached with Oklahoma City putting up 26 points. Coming out of halftime energized, Orlando had their best performance in the third quarter scoring an impressive 33 points. Despite this surge, it was not enough to maintain dominance as Oklahoma City responded with an even higher tally of 37 points. The final period saw Orlando add another solid performance of 27 points but once again found themselves outpaced by Oklahoma City's consistent offense that added another 26 to secure their victory.

Orlando showcased some notable statistics during this matchup. They managed to block eight shots and steal possession five times from their opponents. Assists were also a strong point for them with players combining for a total of twenty-one assists throughout the game. Their bench contributed significantly by adding forty-four points to Orlando's overall score.

Despite these efforts, there were areas where Orlando struggled which may have influenced the outcome. Their three-point shooting was not at its usual standard; they only made seven out of thirty-five attempts which translates into just twenty percent accuracy from beyond the arc. Free throw accuracy also left room for improvement as they made fifteen free throws from twenty-four attempts resulting in sixty-two percent success rate.

On defense, while they managed fifty defensive rebounds and eleven offensive rebounds totaling sixty rebounds overall – more than what Oklahoma City secured – it wasn't enough to turn possession into sufficient scoring opportunities.

Looking ahead after this tough loss on foreign ground, fans can look forward to supporting their team when Orlando Magic takes on New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on January fifteen at three o'clock PM Eastern Time (ET). This game will be broadcasted on BSFL channel six hundred fifty-four for away fans wanting to catch all live action from New York.
