The Orlando Magic started strong, outscoring the Thunder in the first quarter with a narrow lead. However, as the game progressed, they struggled to maintain their momentum. Despite having more total rebounds at 56 compared to Oklahoma City's 39 and drawing more fouls for a total of 20 attempts from the free-throw line, converting them at an 80 percent rate, it wasn't enough to secure victory.

Orlando showcased their ability to penetrate defenses by scoring half a century points in paint and attempting more field goals overall. Their bench contributed significantly with 32 points but was just one point shy of matching Oklahoma City's bench production. The Magic also capitalized on second-chance opportunities by making four out of eleven attempts resulting in twelve additional points.

On defense though, Orlando managed only three blocks and six steals throughout the game which paled in comparison to Oklahoma City’s eight blocks and nine steals. The home team also turned over possession sixteen times which allowed their opponents sixteen points off turnovers.

Oklahoma City Thunder demonstrated remarkable shooting efficiency across all fronts: field goals (55 percent), three-pointers (41 percent), and free throws (92 percent). They led for over half an hour during playtime and built up a commanding lead that peaked at twenty-one points. Their offensive prowess was further highlighted by their effective field goal percentage standing at sixty-two percent.

Looking ahead after this tough loss on home turf for Orlando Magic fans is another opportunity for redemption as they host New York Knicks at Kia Center on February 14th at 7:00 PM Eastern Time.
