Magic Outduel Wizards in High-Octane Showdown at Capital One Arena

The Orlando Magic, with a record of 37-26, faced off against the Washington Wizards, who came into the game with a 9-53 record. In a competitive matchup at Capital One Arena, the Magic secured a victory with a final score of 119-109.

From the opening tip-off, the Magic demonstrated their offensive capabilities by maintaining an impressive field goal percentage of 54 percent throughout the game. The team's efficiency was on full display as they racked up an overall efficiency rating of 139. Orlando's prowess in scoring was bolstered by their performance from beyond the arc where they shot an effective 46 percent.


The Magic also dominated inside, scoring 56 points in the paint and converting on an impressive 67 percent of their attempts from that area. Their ability to draw fouls and capitalize on free throws was evident as they made good on 90 percent of their shots from the charity stripe.

Orlando's bench contributed significantly to this victory by adding 33 points to the team's total score. The squad showed resilience and determination as they overcame a deficit to achieve their biggest lead of 13 points during playtime.


On defense, Orlando managed five blocks and four steals while holding Washington to just under its season average for points scored. The defensive effort helped them maintain control despite Washington’s early lead and multiple lead changes throughout the contest.

The Wizards put up a valiant fight led by their bench scoring an impressive total of 48 points. They also outpaced Orlando in fast break points with a tally of 18 compared to Orlando's twelve but fell short in shooting efficiency across all fronts.


As for individual performances for Orlando, it was truly a team effort with contributions coming from various players both starting and off-the-bench units which reflected in their balanced assist count at twenty-one for this outing.
