Orlando Magic Narrowly Miss Victory Against Golden State Warriors

The Orlando Magic, with a record of 42-30, faced off against the Golden State Warriors, standing at 38-34. In a closely contested game, the final score read 101-93 in favor of the visitors.

The Orlando Magic started slow in the first quarter but picked up pace as the game progressed. Despite their efforts, they trailed behind with only 11 points to the Warriors' 27 by quarter's end. However, they bounced back in the second quarter adding another 26 points to their tally and continued to push hard with an additional 29 and then 27 points in subsequent quarters.


Orlando's bench made significant contributions totaling an impressive 49 bench points. The team also showed defensive tenacity with a total of five blocks and ten steals throughout the game. On offense, they managed to draw more fouls than their opponents with a total of eighteen fouls drawn compared to thirteen by Golden State.

In terms of shooting efficiency, Orlando had mixed results; they shot at forty-nine percent from two-point range on fifty-three attempts and thirty-one percent from beyond the arc on thirty-two attempts. Free throw shooting was an area that needed improvement as they only made fifty-two percent of their twenty-one free throw attempts.


Despite these efforts, it was not enough to secure victory over Golden State who led for most of the game (46:56 minutes). The Warriors had a solid field goal percentage at forty-four percent and were particularly effective from two-point range where they shot fifty-four percent on fifty-six attempts. They also capitalized on fast break opportunities scoring nine fast break points at a one hundred percent success rate.
