The Orlando Magic started strong out of the gates with an impressive first quarter tallying 25 points but could not sustain this momentum against the Rockets' formidable offense. Throughout the game, Orlando demonstrated their scoring capabilities by putting up consistent numbers in each quarter: 26 in the second, 31 in the third, and finishing with 24 in the fourth. However, it was not enough to overcome Houston's lead.

Orlando's performance was highlighted by their accuracy from the charity stripe as they made an outstanding 91 percent of their free throws. Their offensive efforts were further supported by scoring 52 points in paint and adding another 15 through second-chance opportunities. The team also showed hustle on defense with nine steals and six blocks.

Despite these efforts, turnovers proved costly for Orlando as they gave up possession on fifteen occasions which led to sixteen points for Houston. Additionally, while Orlando managed to draw fouls effectively throughout the match resulting in twenty-one attempts at free throws, it wasn't sufficient to close down Houston’s lead.

On Houston’s side, their efficiency shone through as they converted on an impressive fifty-nine percent from two-point range and forty-three percent beyond the arc leading to fifteen three-pointers made over four quarters. They also capitalized on fast-break opportunities contributing eleven points to their total score.
