The game started off competitively with both teams showing strong offensive efforts. The first quarter ended closely with the Magic trailing by just one point, scoring 22 against the Cavaliers' 23. However, as the match progressed, Orlando began to pull away significantly in the third quarter by adding an impressive 37 points to their tally while holding Cleveland to just 10 points in that period.

The Orlando Magic's shooting was particularly noteworthy; they achieved a field goal percentage of 56 percent and were even more impressive from beyond the arc, hitting an outstanding 46 percent of their three-point attempts. Their effective field goal percentage stood at an impressive 64 percent. Additionally, they capitalized on second-chance opportunities by scoring 14 points from such plays and maintained a strong presence in the paint with a total of 52 points.

On defense, Orlando outperformed Cleveland as well. They managed six blocks compared to Cleveland's three and had seven steals over their opponent's ten. The defensive effort contributed to limiting Cleveland's shooting accuracy; they shot only 47 percent from the field and struggled from long range with just a mere success rate of only about one-quarter of their three-point shots.

Cleveland did have moments where they shone through individual performances but couldn't maintain consistency throughout all four quarters. Despite leading for over half an hour during game time and achieving a ten-point lead at one stage, it wasn't enough against Orlando's persistent offense.
