Orlando Magic open with 41-point quarter at Kaseya Center, but how did the Miami Heat close the gap?

First quarter


The Orlando Magic set the game’s early pace with 41 points in the 1st quarter while the Heat scored 27.

Second quarter

The Heat answered with 28 points in the quarter and got 45 bench points to keep their rotation scoring involved.


Third quarter


The Magic scored 27 in the 3rd quarter and controlled the glass with 59 total rebounds, including 11 offensive rebounds.

Desmond Bane’s previous-game 21 points and Jalen Suggs’ previous-game 6 assists fit the Magic’s steady scoring-and-playmaking mix that carried the early lead into the last possessions.


The Heat scored 34 in the 4th quarter and generated 24 fast-break points on 64 percent conversion to fuel their late push.
