This marginal advantage proved pivotal as both teams were nearly matched in overall efficiency rating at one hundred fourteen each.


On defense, Philadelphia held strong limiting their opponents' fast break opportunities and capitalizing on sixteen points off turnovers while conceding twenty-two themselves. Their defensive efforts resulted in three blocks and four steals during playtime.

Offensively for Philadelphia, field goal percentage stood even with that of Miami at forty-two percent each; however, they trailed slightly behind in three-point shooting accuracy with thirty-four percent against thirty-six percent for Miami. Despite this disparity from beyond the arc, they managed to keep pace through sheer determination inside paint where they scored forty-two points.
