First Quarter

The game began evenly matched as both teams scored 25 points each. The Sixers showed promise early on with Tyrese Maxey contributing significantly to their offensive efforts. However, it was VJ Edgecombe who stood out by providing energy and scoring opportunities that kept Philadelphia competitive.

Second Quarter

As the second quarter unfolded, the Knicks started to pull away by adding another 28 points to their tally compared to Philadelphia's 18. Despite this setback, Hunter Sallis managed to make some crucial plays for the Sixers but struggled against New York's tight defense.

Third Quarter

In the third quarter, New York continued its dominance by scoring another impressive set of points while holding Philadelphia to just 14. Kelly Oubre Jr.'s defensive efforts were notable during this period as he tried to contain New York's offensive surge.

Fourth Quarter

The final quarter saw a resurgence from Philadelphia as they attempted a comeback led by Edgecombe’s relentless drive and determination on court. The team managed an impressive rally with contributions from Johni Broome and Andre Drummond underlining their resilience; however it wasn't enough against an unyielding Knick defense that secured them victory at full-time whistle.

For fans looking forward: mark your calendars! The next encounter between these two teams is scheduled for October 4th at Etihad Arena again where you can catch all action live via NBA TV or MSG network broadcasts starting from around noon Eastern Time (11:00 AM EDT).
