First Quarter

The opening quarter saw both teams coming out strong, with the Rockets taking an early lead by scoring 34 points against the Sixers' 32. The Sixers were led by Tyrese Maxey's dynamic playmaking and Joel Embiid's presence in the paint. Despite trailing slightly, Philadelphia managed to keep pace thanks to their efficient shooting from inside.

Second Quarter

In the second quarter, Philadelphia turned up their offensive intensity, outscoring Houston by a margin of nine points. This surge was fueled by Kelly Oubre Jr., who contributed significantly before his injury sidelined him for future games. The Sixers capitalized on fast breaks and maintained solid defense against H-Town's attempts to regain control.

Third Quarter

The third quarter saw a dip in scoring for both teams as defenses tightened up. The Process struggled offensively but managed to hold onto their lead due in part to Dominick Barlow’s defensive efforts and key rebounds that limited Red Nation’s second-chance opportunities.

Fourth Quarter

As tensions rose in the fourth quarter, both teams exchanged leads multiple times. Quentin Grimes provided crucial support off the bench for Philly while maintaining defensive pressure on Houston’s perimeter shooters. With only seconds left on the clock, neither team could secure a definitive advantage leading into overtime.

Overtime

In overtime, it was Tyrese Maxey who stepped up once again for Philly with decisive plays that included critical assists and clutch free throws that sealed their victory over Houston. His performance was instrumental during this period as he orchestrated plays effectively under immense pressure from Rocket defenders.

Philadelphia fans can look forward to another exciting matchup when they host New York Knicks at Xfinity Mobile Arena on January 24th at 3:00 PM EDT; catch all action live on ABC!
