Last season's analytics reveal a team that was efficient on both ends of the floor. The Suns boasted an impressive field goal percentage of 49 percent and were particularly effective from two-point range with a 55 percent success rate. Their free-throw shooting was reliable at nearly 80 percent, contributing significantly to their average points tally of 115 per game.

The team's true shooting percentage, which takes into account two-pointers, three-pointers, and free throws, stood at a commendable 58 percent. This indicates that they were not only taking smart shots but also converting them at a high rate. From beyond the arc, they managed a solid three-point percentage of 36 percent.

Defensively, Phoenix showed prowess as well by averaging over eight steals and four blocks per game—numbers that reflect their ability to disrupt opponents' play. They also demonstrated discipline in terms of personal fouls with an average just under twenty per game.

However, ball control was an area with room for improvement as they averaged over twelve turnovers per game last season. Maintaining possession will be crucial against a competitive Clippers squad.
