The Suns have shown a mixed bag of results in their last few outings. Despite a balanced win-loss record, they've been struggling with consistency, particularly from beyond the arc. In their most recent game against Sacramento Kings, they shot just 20 percent from three-point range and were outscored by 15 points overall. However, they did manage to put up an impressive 58 points in the paint and grabbed a total of 54 rebounds.

Their performance against Portland Trail Blazers was slightly better in terms of shooting efficiency with an improved three-point percentage but still resulted in a loss where they were edged out by five points. On a positive note, they demonstrated strong fast-break capabilities with an 88 percent success rate on such plays.

In contrast, during their home game against Washington Wizards, the Suns showcased what they're capable of when firing on all cylinders. They recorded an efficiency game score that dwarfed previous games and led for just over nine minutes but managed to secure victory thanks to better ball distribution and clutch play down the stretch.

Looking ahead at their matchup with Dallas Mavericks, Phoenix will need to capitalize on its strengths—points in paint and rebounding—while improving perimeter shooting. The team's ability to convert second-chance opportunities could also be pivotal given their decent offensive rebounding numbers recently.

The Footprint Center will undoubtedly play its part as well; home-court advantage has been beneficial for Phoenix this season as evidenced by fan support during key moments of tight games.

Fans can catch this exciting matchup live on ESPN channel 206 or attend it at Footprint Center come December 26th at 8:30 PM local time (Arizona).
