Phoenix Suns and Sacramento Kings Set to Clash at Footprint Center

As the Phoenix Suns prepare to host the Sacramento Kings at the Footprint Center, fans can anticipate an engaging matchup. The Suns have been experiencing a turbulent season, with their recent performance showing a mix of highs and lows. In their last three games, they've recorded one win and two losses, indicating some inconsistency in their play.

The game against the Dallas Mavericks highlighted both strengths and weaknesses for the Suns. Despite scoring 114 points and demonstrating strong rebounding with 57 total rebounds (14 offensive), they fell short due to turnovers (16) and lower shooting efficiency compared to the Mavericks. The team's field goal percentage stood at 44 percent, while their three-point shooting was slightly below average at 34 percent.

In contrast, during their away game against the Sacramento Kings – who they are about to face again – Phoenix scored 105 points but struggled defensively as evidenced by conceding 120 points. Their field goal percentage was similar at around 44 percent; however, three-point shooting dipped significantly to just 20 percent.

The most recent away game against Portland Trail Blazers saw an improvement in defensive efforts with a closer scoreline of 104-109 but still resulted in a loss for Phoenix. They managed a higher number of steals (10) which could be an encouraging sign for disrupting Sacramento's offense in the upcoming match.

While trends show that Phoenix has been capable offensively, averaging over 100 points across these games, tightening up on defense will be crucial when facing a competitive Kings side that has previously outscored them.

Fans should look forward to seeing if Phoenix can leverage its home-court advantage at Footprint Center to snap out of this inconsistent streak. With key areas identified for improvement – particularly on defense and from beyond the arc – it will be interesting to see how they adjust tactically against Sacramento.

The upcoming game is scheduled for January 17th at Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Fans can catch all the action live on AZFamily or NBCS-CA starting from local time TBD.
