The Suns' recent games have been a rollercoaster of highs and lows. Their last match against the Dallas Mavericks ended in a 114-128 loss, despite putting up an impressive fight with 28 assists and capitalizing on fast breaks for 20 points. However, turnovers were an issue as they gave up possession 16 times.

Prior to that, they faced off against the Sacramento Kings where they scored 105 points but fell short by 15 points in comparison to Kings' total of 120. The team's field goal percentage was decent at approximately 44 percent but was overshadowed by their struggle beyond the arc with only a success rate of around 20 percent from three-point range.

In their game before Sacramento, against Portland Trail Blazers, Phoenix managed to keep it close with only a five-point deficit (104-109). They showed strength inside by scoring an impressive number of points in paint (62), yet again turnovers and below-par three-point shooting (21 percent) hindered their ability to secure victory.

The pattern emerging from these games indicates that while Phoenix has been able to maintain strong assist numbers and generate significant bench contributions, ball security and consistency from distance are areas requiring attention. As they head into Miami's territory—a place known for its energetic crowd which could influence momentum—the Suns need to tighten up their play if they wish to come out on top.
