The recent performance of the Phoenix Suns has been a mix of defensive challenges and offensive opportunities. In their last two games against these very Timberwolves, they've shown resilience but also areas that need tightening up. The Suns' efficiency rating was 92 in Game 2, where they lost with a final score of 93-105. Despite leading for over 15 minutes and having a bench contribution of 28 points, turnovers were their Achilles' heel with a total of 20.

Game 1 saw similar issues with ball control as they turned it over 15 times contributing to their loss by a margin of 25 points (95-120). Their defensive rating took a hit at an alarming rate of over one point per possession (1.22), indicating that defense could be where games are slipping away from them.

However, it's not all doom and gloom for the Suns; there are positives to build upon. They maintained an effective field goal percentage around fifty percent in both encounters and showed capability from beyond the arc hitting thirty-six percent in Game 2. Additionally, free throw accuracy has been reliable at approximately eighty percent across both games.

The venue could play into Phoenix's hands as they return to familiar territory at Footprint Center – hoping that home advantage will provide an extra boost needed to overcome their opponents.
