Last season's analytics paint a picture of a team with solid fundamentals and an ability to score efficiently. The Trail Blazers ended their previous campaign with an average field goal percentage of 47 percent and were particularly effective from beyond the arc, hitting 36 percent of their three-point attempts. Their proficiency in true shooting was evident with a percentage rounding up to 59 percent.

The team also demonstrated strength in fast-break situations, converting these opportunities at an impressive rate of 61 percent. This could be crucial as they face a Clippers squad known for its defensive prowess; quick transitions will be key in breaking down LA's set defense.

On average per game last season, Portland managed over 113 points while assisting on 24 baskets and grabbing approximately 41 rebounds. Their defensive efforts resulted in nearly five blocks and seven steals per contest, though they'll need to keep an eye on turnovers which averaged almost fourteen per game.

Portland's free-throw shooting was reliable at nearly 80 percent last season – this could come into play during close encounters where every point counts. Additionally, maintaining discipline will be important as they averaged just over twenty personal fouls per game previously; staying out of foul trouble could help them maintain their rhythm on both ends of the court.
