In their last game against the Utah Jazz at home, despite a strong fourth-quarter rally scoring 38 points, they fell short with a final score of 114-122. This loss extended their record to 6 wins and 19 losses for the season. The team showed resilience and an ability to score from the bench with an impressive 66 bench points but struggled defensively, allowing 122 points against them.

Prior to that game, Portland faced off against the LA Clippers away from home. They managed to put up a high-scoring performance with 127 points; however, defense was again an issue as they conceded 132 points leading to another defeat. Their three-point shooting was notable at approximately 48 percent success rate.

The last encounter between Portland and Dallas at Moda Center saw the Trail Blazers unable to secure a lead throughout the game, ultimately losing with a score of 112-125. Despite putting up significant fast-break points (22) and second-chance points (23), it wasn't enough against Dallas's efficient offense.

The upcoming game presents another opportunity for Portland on their home court where fan support could provide an additional boost. However, defensive improvements will be crucial if they hope to contain Dallas's potent scoring ability and turn around their losing trend.
