The game was characterized by an offensive showcase from both teams. The home team, Portland Trail Blazers, demonstrated their scoring abilities right from the first quarter with an impressive tally of 39 points but couldn't sustain this pace against a relentless Dallas offense that put up 36 points in response. Despite a strong showing in paint where they scored 72 points and shot an effective field goal percentage of 53 percent, it wasn't enough to secure victory.

The Trail Blazers' performance was bolstered by their bench contributing a significant 38 points to their total score. They also capitalized on turnovers better than their opponents, scoring 20 points off turnovers compared to the Mavericks' 15. However, they struggled beyond the arc with only seven three-pointers made out of an attempted thirty-two for a low three-point shooting percentage of approximately twenty-two percent.

On defense, both teams managed two blocks each and were nearly even in steals with Portland edging out Dallas eight to seven. Rebounding was also fiercely contested; however, Dallas came out slightly ahead grabbing fifty-one rebounds over Portland's fifty.

Dallas showcased efficient shooting throughout the game leading them to maintain control for over thirty-six minutes and achieving their largest lead of eighteen points. Their field goal percentage stood at approximately fifty percent while converting nearly ninety-one percent from the free-throw line which contributed significantly to maintaining their lead.

As fans look forward to future games, they can mark their calendars for an exciting matchup as the Portland Trail Blazers will host Golden State Warriors at Moda Center on December 18th at 6:00 PM local time (Pacific Time). This encounter will be available for viewing on ROOT Sports NW and NBCS-BA channels where fans can follow all live-action as it unfolds on court.
