The Trail Blazers started strong, outscoring the Bucks in both the first and second quarters with scores of 31 and 37 respectively. Their offensive efforts were led by an impressive three-point shooting performance, converting 13 out of their 32 attempts for a solid three-point percentage of about 41 percent. The team's largest lead was an imposing 26 points, during which they dominated playtime leading for nearly 40 minutes.

Defensively, Portland made their presence felt with a total of four blocks and an outstanding number of steals at fifteen. This defensive hustle translated into points off turnovers, contributing to their overall tally with twenty-seven points in this category. The bench also played its part by adding twenty-five points to the team's effort.

Despite these efforts, it was not enough to secure victory as Milwaukee staged a comeback in the fourth quarter scoring thirty-three points against Portland's fourteen. The home team capitalized on second-chance opportunities with fifteen second-chance points from eighteen attempts and maintained control under pressure.

The Bucks showcased resilience on defense as well with eleven blocks and thirteen steals while drawing more fouls than Portland which led them to attempt twelve more free throws than their opponents. Their bench contributed twenty points but it was ultimately their ability to capitalize on opportunities that saw them through in this encounter.
