The Trail Blazers showcased their offensive capabilities by shooting an impressive 50 percent from the field and an outstanding 86 percent from the free-throw line. The team's scoring was bolstered by their performance in the paint where they tallied up a dominant 66 points. Portland also capitalized on turnovers, converting them into 18 crucial points which contributed to their narrow victory.

Defensively, Portland stepped up as well, amassing a total of 11 blocks and matching Indiana's steal count with three. The defensive efforts were complemented by collecting more rebounds than their opponents; pulling down a total of 57 compared to Indiana's 50. This included nine offensive boards that led to second-chance opportunities resulting in 14 additional points for Portland.

The bench played its part effectively too, contributing a solid 22 points to support the starting lineup. Despite being behind in assists with only eighteen compared to Indiana's thirty-four, it was Portland’s efficiency on both ends that made all the difference.

Indiana Pacers did not go down without showing their strength as well; they shot at an effective field goal percentage of fifty-four and matched this efficiency from beyond the arc hitting forty-three percent of their three-point attempts. Their bench added fourteen points but it was not enough to overcome Portland’s overall performance.
