The Trail Blazers started strong out of the gate with an impressive first quarter tallying 33 points to the Spurs' 26. However, momentum shifted as Portland was outscored in subsequent quarters. Despite their efforts, they couldn't maintain their early dominance. The team's shooting from beyond the arc struggled to find its mark at only 27 percent accuracy, contributing to their inability to keep pace with San Antonio's offense.

Portland's performance showcased some notable statistics: they managed to accumulate a total of 47 rebounds and dished out 23 assists over the course of the game. Steals were another area where they excelled, recording 11 takeaways from San Antonio. The Blazers also demonstrated an ability to draw fouls effectively with players earning trips to the free-throw line for a total of 19 attempts and converting these opportunities at a rate of approximately three-quarters success.

Offensively, Portland found some success inside scoring 44 points in paint but ultimately fell short against San Antonio's defense which blocked five shots throughout the night. The bench contributed significantly as well by adding another dimension with their contribution of 28 points.

On defense, however, there were challenges for Portland as they allowed San Antonio to score heavily in paint totaling up to an imposing figure of sixty points and gave up twenty-six fast break points due largely in part because they could not contain breakaways effectively enough throughout this matchup.
