Looking back at their past few games, it's clear that Portland has faced some challenges. In their most recent match against the Minnesota Timberwolves, they were outscored significantly, managing only 91 points compared to Minnesota's dominant 128. This loss was marked by a -37 plus-minus rating and an efficiency game score of just 55.7. Their shooting percentages were low across the board – 37 percent from the field and only 28 percent from beyond the arc.

The previous encounter with Minnesota also ended in defeat for Portland, albeit by a narrower margin (121-109). Despite improving in several statistical categories – including bench points (41), three-point percentage (38 percent), and overall field goal percentage (45 percent) – they still fell short.

Against the New Orleans Pelicans, Portland put up more resistance but ultimately lost with a final score of 84-93. The team showed some defensive prowess with seven steals and four blocks but struggled offensively as evidenced by an offensive rating of just over 92 points per hundred possessions.

As they head into Memphis territory, it is crucial for Portland to address these issues. They'll need to tighten up defensively while finding ways to ignite their offense if they hope to compete against a Grizzlies squad that has shown formidable strength this season.
