In a game that saw nine lead changes and was tied four times, the Trail Blazers fought valiantly but couldn't overcome the offensive surge by the visiting team. Despite trailing by as much as 20 points, Portland managed to carve out an 11-point lead at one stage, showcasing their resilience in front of a home crowd of 18,341 at Moda Center.

The Trail Blazers were efficient from two-point range, hitting 57 percent of their shots and finishing with a higher field goal percentage (47 percent) than the Pelicans (41 percent). They also outrebounded New Orleans with a total of 51 rebounds compared to the Pelicans' 48. However, turnovers proved costly for Portland; they gave up possession on 22 occasions which led to 33 points for New Orleans.

Portland's bench contributed significantly with 27 bench points and they also capitalized on second-chance opportunities scoring 13 second-chance points. Their three-point shooting was decent at an accuracy rate of about one-third but paled in comparison to their opponents who made six more three-pointers.

On defense, both teams were evenly matched in blocks; however, steals by New Orleans played a critical role in disrupting Portland's flow – the Pelicans recorded ten more steals than the Trail Blazers. This defensive pressure contributed to New Orleans leading for nearly half an hour over four quarters while Portland was ahead for just over seventeen minutes.
