On defense, despite managing only three blocks compared to Dallas's four, Sacramento maintained pressure on their opponents throughout each quarter. Their tenacity paid off in crucial moments leading to turnovers which were promptly converted into fast break points - totaling at seventeen for them against twenty-four by Dallas.


The Mavericks were no slouches either; they fought valiantly till the last second. With eleven steals demonstrating their defensive capabilities and thirty-one assists showcasing excellent ball movement on offense, they kept pace with Sacramento's scoring onslaught. Their bench provided substantial support chipping in sixty-four points but ultimately fell just short in overtime.
