Sacramento Kings Face Setback Against Phoenix Suns at PHX Arena

The Sacramento Kings, with a record of 33-33, faced off against the Phoenix Suns, who held a record of 31-36, in a closely watched game at PHX Arena. Despite a hard-fought battle, the Kings fell short with a final score of 106-122.

Key Performances and Game Highlights


The game was marked by intense competition and standout performances from both teams. The Kings showed promise in various quarters, starting with 22 points in the first quarter and peaking at 35 points in the second. Their effort continued with 25 points in the third quarter and concluded with 24 points in the fourth. However, this was not enough to secure victory against the Suns' robust offense.


DeMar DeRozan led the charge for Sacramento with an impressive performance, scoring 23 points on an efficient shooting night where he hit 69 percent from the field. Malik Monk also contributed significantly with his all-around play, tallying 18 points alongside five assists and eight rebounds. Zach LaVine added to Sacramento's offensive efforts by scoring 21 points.

On the other side of the court, Phoenix showcased their strength through teamwork and sharpshooting abilities. The Suns dominated from beyond the arc, making an outstanding three-point shooting percentage that significantly contributed to their win.

Despite this setback for Sacramento Kings fans were treated to moments of brilliance that hint at potential for future games. Domantas Sabonis notably achieved a triple-double during this contest – amassing twelve assists along with eleven rebounds and twelve points – demonstrating his vital role within team dynamics.
