The Spurs started with energy, putting up 25 points in the opening quarter but were outscored by the Celtics who had 30. The second quarter saw the Spurs add only 20 more to their total while Boston surged ahead with an additional 40 points. After halftime, San Antonio showed resilience and outperformed their previous efforts by scoring a robust 33 points in the third quarter, yet they could not contain Boston's offense which added another 24 points. In the final period of play, both teams scored an equal number of points at 20 each.

San Antonio's offense was led by their ability to score inside as they accumulated a notable total of 58 points in the paint from an overall attempt count of fifty-four shots within that zone. Their shooting from two-point range was efficient at a rate of fifty-four percent; however, they struggled beyond the arc with only twenty-one percent accuracy on thirty-four attempts.

Defensively, San Antonio managed three blocks and five steals but ultimately conceded one hundred seventeen points against them. They also collected forty-seven rebounds including eleven offensive boards which contributed to eleven second-chance points.

The bench played its part by contributing twenty-seven vital bench points and overall team assists stood at twenty-six for San Antonio. Unfortunately for them, turnovers were an issue as they gave up possession ten times which translated into thirteen Celtics' points off those turnovers.

Looking ahead for fans of The San Antonio Spurs is an away game against Charlotte Hornets at Spectrum Center on January nineteenth scheduled for six PM Eastern Time. Fans can catch all the action on BSSW channel six hundred seventy-six or BSSE channel six hundred forty-nine where it will be broadcasted live.
