The Spurs started strong, outscoring the Magic in the first quarter with an impressive display that saw them put up 30 points to Orlando's 27. However, momentum shifted as the game progressed. Despite their best efforts and leading for over 17 minutes of playtime, San Antonio couldn't maintain their early advantage. The home team's scoring waned in the second and third quarters where they posted just 21 points in each period before rallying back to add another 26 points in the final quarter.

San Antonio showed resilience on fast breaks, converting on ten out of thirteen attempts which contributed to their total of 27 fast break points. They also demonstrated efficiency from two-point range shooting at an impressive rate of 55 percent and were able to capitalize on second-chance opportunities by scoring eleven points from such plays.

Defensively, San Antonio managed nine blocks and matched Orlando's steal count at nine apiece. However, turnovers proved costly for them as they gave up possession nineteen times which led to twenty-three points for Orlando.

On individual performances for San Antonio, there was no shortage of effort but converting this into a winning formula remains elusive. Their bench contributed twenty-five points but it wasn't enough to counteract Orlando’s thirty-one bench points or their dominance in paint where they scored sixty-two compared to San Antonio’s forty-six.

Orlando showcased strong offensive execution throughout the game maintaining an effective field goal percentage of fifty-two percent while also shooting eighty-three percent from free throw line. Their largest lead stretched to twenty-five points indicating periods where they controlled play effectively against San Antonio.
