Celtics Edge Out Raptors at Scotiabank Arena in Close Contest

In a tightly contested game at Scotiabank Arena, the Boston Celtics narrowly defeated the Toronto Raptors with a final score of 108-105. The Celtics improved their season record to 10-2, while the Raptors now stand at 5-7.

The home crowd witnessed an intense battle as the Toronto Raptors showcased their offensive capabilities by scoring 54 points in the paint and converting 36 percent of their three-point attempts. Despite trailing, they managed to draw more fouls than their opponents, resulting in 13 foul shots but only making nine. The team's effort was evident as they outrebounded the Celtics with a total of 53 rebounds, including five offensive boards.


The Raptors' bench contributed significantly with 20 points but fell short compared to Boston's reserves who added 27 points to their tally. Ball security was an issue for Toronto as they turned over possession on thirteen occasions which translated into eleven points for Boston. In terms of fast-break opportunities, the Raptors capitalized by scoring twelve fast-break points from seven attempts.

On defense, however, Toronto struggled to contain Boston's shooters who made sixteen three-pointers and shot nearly forty-five percent from beyond the arc. The Celtics also demonstrated efficiency from two-point range and free throws, shooting approximately fifty-seven percent and eighty-nine percent respectively.


Boston's biggest lead was sixteen points during a game that saw eleven lead changes and was tied five times. They spent twenty-eight minutes ahead on the scoreboard thanks largely to their ability to convert turnovers into eleven additional points.
