The game unfolded with high intensity as both teams showcased their defensive skills with each blocking 8 shots. The Grizzlies managed to outsteal the Raptors with 11 steals compared to Toronto's 7, reflecting a more aggressive defense from the visitors. The home team did put up an impressive show from behind the arc and at the charity stripe, converting eight three-pointers at a rate of thirty-five percent and achieving an outstanding ninety-six percent accuracy on free throws.

Toronto's bench contributed significantly to their offense by adding 35 points to their total score. However, turnovers proved costly for them as they gave up possession 17 times which led to fifteen points for Memphis off those turnovers. In contrast, despite committing one less turnover than Toronto, Memphis capitalized better by scoring fifteen points off turnovers.

The battle in paint was fierce with both teams scoring over fifty points in that area; however, it was Memphis who edged out Toronto by putting up fifty-eight points against Toronto's fifty. Rebounding was nearly even between both squads; however, Memphis slightly edged out with one more rebound than Toronto's total of fifty.

A key factor in this match-up was fast-break performance where both teams were almost neck-and-neck – nineteen fast break points for Memphis versus sixteen for Toronto – but ultimately it was efficiency that made the difference: while both teams had an efficiency rating of one hundred twenty-three each according to game statistics provided.
