The Raptors have had a challenging season so far with a record of 19 wins and 35 losses. Their recent performances have shown some promise but also areas that need improvement. In their last game against the San Antonio Spurs, despite a strong showing from their bench contributing 56 points, they fell short with a final score of 99-122. The team struggled defensively, allowing the Spurs to shoot an effective field goal percentage of 59 percent and score 70 points in the paint.

Toronto's defensive woes were further highlighted in their previous encounter with the Cleveland Cavaliers where they lost by a margin of 95-119. The Cavaliers led for most of the game and outperformed Toronto in terms of efficiency and offensive rating.

However, it's not all bleak for Raptors fans. In one of their recent games against Houston Rockets at Scotiabank Arena, Toronto showcased resilience by securing a win with a scoreline of 107-104. They managed to maintain control throughout most of the match thanks to solid contributions across the board and an impressive fast break performance that yielded them 22 points.

As they head into Atlanta's territory, maintaining defensive intensity will be crucial for Toronto if they wish to contain Hawks' dynamic offense. Rebounding has been relatively even in past games which suggests that controlling boards could be another key factor in this contest.
