The Raptors started strong with an impressive first quarter tallying 34 points to the Mavericks' 36. Despite their efforts and leading for over 11 minutes of playtime, the Raptors struggled to contain the Mavericks' offense which seemed unstoppable throughout the night. The visitors from Dallas demonstrated remarkable shooting accuracy with a field goal percentage of 54 and were particularly lethal from two-point range where they shot an astounding 70 percent.

Toronto's performance was highlighted by their ability to create opportunities through turnovers, scoring 23 points off turnovers compared to Dallas' 19. The home team also showcased their speed on fast breaks, racking up a total of 20 fast break points. However, it was not enough to overcome the deficit created by Dallas’ efficient scoring.

The Mavericks capitalized on every opportunity given by Toronto and had an impressive bench contribution of 40 points. Their dominance was further exemplified by their largest lead of the game being a comfortable margin of fifteen points. Additionally, they managed to block ten shots while only having three attempts blocked by Toronto's defense.

Toronto's resilience was evident as they matched Dallas in total rebounds with both teams securing fifty-five boards each; however, it wasn't sufficient against the visitors’ superior shooting percentages across all categories including free throws where Toronto only made sixty-seven percent compared to Dallas’ eighty-one percent.
