At the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, fans witnessed an impressive display by the Utah Jazz as they took control early on and never looked back. The first quarter set the tone for what was to come as Utah outscored Dallas 37-26. This high-scoring trend continued through each quarter with Utah maintaining their lead and finishing strong with a fourth-quarter tally of 34 points to Dallas's mere 11.

The statistics tell a story of sheer supremacy by the Jazz; they shot an outstanding 51 percent from field goals compared to Dallas's modest 40 percent. From beyond the arc, both teams struggled somewhat but it was Utah who managed to sink more threes, making twelve out of forty-four attempts. Free throws were another area where Utah excelled – converting at an impressive rate of 94 percent.

Utah's bench made significant contributions scoring a total of 56 points while Dallas's bench added just 37 points to their tally. In terms of rebounds, it was again Utah who dominated by collecting a total of sixty-three compared to forty-six from Dallas. This included seven offensive rebounds for Utah which contributed to fifteen second-chance points.

Defensively, both teams were active but it was once again Utah that edged out with nine steals and six blocks leading them to eighteen points off turnovers while limiting Dallas to only eight such points. The defensive effort by Utah held their opponents at bay throughout each quarter and resulted in them leading for nearly forty-four minutes compared to just under two minutes for Dallas.
