The home team struggled early on, trailing behind after the first quarter with only 15 points compared to the Spurs' 29. However, they managed to find their rhythm in the second quarter by adding an impressive 33 points to their tally. Despite this effort and scoring over thirty points in both third and fourth quarters, it was not enough to secure victory.

The Jazz were led by their offense which saw them shooting at a commendable rate from both inside and outside of the arc. They finished with an effective field goal percentage of 55 percent and were particularly efficient from the free-throw line where they made an outstanding 91 percent of their attempts. From beyond the three-point line, they shot at a solid rate of 37 percent.

Defensively, however, Utah faced challenges as they allowed San Antonio to shoot over fifty percent from both field goals and three-point range. The Spurs also capitalized on fast-break opportunities scoring twenty-three fast break points with a conversion rate of fifty-three percent.

Despite these defensive lapses, Utah did manage some bright spots throughout the game; they drew more fouls than San Antonio leading to twenty-two free throw attempts and converted twenty-three points off turnovers compared to San Antonio's twenty-one.

On individual performances for Utah Jazz: key players contributed significantly but ultimately fell short against a determined opponent who had seven blocks and nine steals contributing greatly towards their win.
