In their last game on December 23 against the Golden State Warriors, the Wizards put up a valiant effort but fell short with a final score of 118-129. They demonstrated an ability to score in bunches with a 36-point outburst in the second quarter and showed resilience by leading for nearly 11 minutes against a formidable opponent. However, defensive woes continued as they allowed 129 points and struggled to contain fast breaks.

The offensive firepower was evident as they shot an impressive 45 percent from the field and an even more remarkable 79 percent from the free-throw line. Bench production was also strong with contributions accounting for over 40 percent of their total points. Yet, it's clear that if they want to secure victories moving forward, tightening up defensively will be paramount.
